Seve – A True Golfing Hero
How sad the golfing world has lost such a wonderful sportsman. Seve will always be remembered for the most amazing escape shots ever seen on a golf course. He was the first non-British Captain and the first playing captain to win the Ryder Cup for Europe at Valderrama in 1997. 3 Open titles, 2 Masters and too many other titles to mention. He will be sorely missed.

The New Members’ Meet & Greet Evening saw new (and old) members enjoying canapes compliments of Captain Lee and Lady Captain, followed by a quiz set by Nigel Coombes (it was hard!). L-R Lady Vets’ Captain Val Treeby (always in demand for quizes, knows a lot!), new members Keith & Janet Miller, Lady Captain Lesley Harris and Katie Mowll.
